Who I Am

I was born and raised in eastern North Carolina. I'm married to the love of my life with 5 adult children and 2 grandchildren. After working as a nurse for over 15 years in a variety of settings, I reached my ultimate goal of becoming a board certified family nurse practitioner. I love that I get the opportunity to help others feel better about themselves!

Why I Chose To Do This

I spent 6 years working in dermatology and learned some key factors in the  prevention and treatment of skin issues.  I have personally invested in many skin care products for skin changes.  I’ve experienced great results with both compounded formulas and anti-aging products to help reduce the signs of aging, hyperpigmentation and adult acne.

Until the age of 45, I could go to the gym and maintain my weight and muscle tone. I could eat basically everything I wanted and not gain weight.  Hormones, hypothyroidism and getting older brought on age spots, wrinkles, weight gain.  I’ve tried almost every diet out there, only to find myself frustrated with how little I’d lose with my best effort.  There are definitely no “magic wands” for weight loss. There is no substitute for maintaining healthy food choices and exercise in weight loss. In my 50’s, I learned about peptide therapy (Semaglutide) and decided to give it a try.  For the first time in my life, I wasn’t frustrated with losing weight.  I was able to lose 30 lbs (my goal with weight loss) in 3 ½ months by taking a once a week injection.  As the weight fell off, I physically felt better. My husband saw my progress and decided to try Semaglutide too. He has had a wonderful experience with losing weight and not starving in the process!

It’s truly a GAME CHANGER because it WORKS!
